Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai is pregnant revealed by her father-in-law and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. “I am going to become a grandfather. Aishwarya expecting. So happy and thrilled,” Mr Bachchan tweeted.
It’s now confirmed that the third generation of Bollywood’s First Family is on its way.
He further went on to say, “The child of Abhishek and Aishwarya shall be the first Bachchan of the generation after my brother and me …”
And the good wishes from all the industry just keep flowing in.
Aishwarya Rai is married to actor Abhishek, Mr Amitabh Bachchan’s son. This will be the couple’s first baby. It’s not yet know when the baby is due. Often called the “queen of Bollywood”, Rai, 37, married Bachchan in 2007, forging the ultimate Bollywood dynasty.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an Indian film actress. She worked as a model before starting her acting career, and ultimately won the Miss World pageant in 1994. Rai has acted in over 40 films in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali. Rai was the first Indian actress to sit on the Cannes jury in 2003. She has also appeared on the cover of Time magazine as the global face of Indian cinema.
Media is reporting that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan might have used this news of his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy to get back at the Indian Film Academy Awards, which unceremoniously dumped him as brand ambassador recently.
